Maker Projects
From snap circuits and bottle rockets to robotics and forensics camps—and even tracking down every maker fair in Chicago—my childhood was shaped by hands-on STEM learning. I begged my mom for a soldering kit at age 10 (pictured) and split my time between soccer and Science Olympiad.
I studied biology because of my curiosity and desire to understand the world at a microscopic level. After my first year at Northwestern, I realized I was missing a hands-on creative outlet. During my second year, I discovered the Segal Design Institute and pursued a certificate in UX Design—one of the most rewarding parts of my college experience.
Surrounded by motivated classmates and inspiring professors, I explored new ways to design and create. Below are my maker projects, mostly done in my free time, reconnecting me with the hands-on learning I love.
